U.K. analyst issues a bullish opinion on U.S. online gambling legalisation

The respected internet gambling company analyst Michael Campbell, who works for the Daniel Stewart broking company, has issued a bullish opinion that the massive US internet gambling market will sooner or later embrace online gambling legalisation in one form or another.

Campbell says that the US scene has changed significantly in recent times with increasing pressure from major land gambling companies and the difficult economic situation influencing events. Consequently, several legalisation attempts at both federal and state level took place late last year.

Could More Federal Online Gambling Arrests Be Imminent?

Could More Federal Online Gambling Arrests Be Imminent?

The transcripts from a previously sealed court proceeding involving a money laundering case have been released recently by the US court system, and the indication is that more arrests may be on the way. An ongoing investigation has been taking place, and now it appears there may have been more people cooperating with authorities.

Michael Garone is at the center of the records, having been accused of money laundering back in 2008. The charges stemmed from an online gambling operation, and Garone pleaded guilty last January to the charges. At the time, it was not known to what extent Garone had cooperated, but the records indicate his information may have been substantial.

If Gambling In Texas Approved, Online Regulations Could Be Next

If Gambling In Texas Approved, Online Regulations Could Be Next

Online gamblers have heard plenty of legislators talk a good game in the past several years in regards to new online gambling regulations for the US. Each time, the online poker players have been let down when the lawmakers failed to follow through on their promises to oversee law changes for the industry.

The next year will be critical for Internet gamblers, and one state in particular could hold the keys to whether or not the laws are changed. That state is Texas, where lawmakers are only now warming to the idea of casinos. The state Legislature will see several casino gambling bills in the new year, and if any pass, it could be a changing of the guard.
