How “Black Friday” should have been avoided

How “Black Friday” should have been avoided

This whole mess could have been avoided if the sites and PPA actually took the right route in this. That is, leaving The USA Market in 2006, then fighting very hard to bring suits challenging the UIEGA’S legality in whole, while pushing for real regulation at the same time. The sites had ample time to do so. but choose to be somewhat apathetic in their efforts. So while it is somewhat bullshit, seeing that real criminals, such as many in the financial sector and WallStreet should be the ones prosecuted. However, FTP, PS, and AP brought this on themselves if you step back and consider everything that has gone on.

Online poker busts; what we can expect to come next

Online poker busts; what we can expect to come next

Simply put, these sites cannot meet any cash out demands because these assets, along with more assets, are frozen and will be frozen. I expect legit payment processors to ” run for cover” and distance themselves from FTP and PS. Now FTP issued a statement claiming they beleive online poker is legal, as do ” some of the best legal minds in The USA”.. Well, SO DO I!!

The Pokerstars and Fulltilt situation, some facts and my opinion on what is next

The Pokerstars and Fulltilt situation, some facts and my opinion on what is next

First off, in spite of what FTP and PS says, this does effect players beyond The USA. 76 Bank accounts have been frozen by The Feds in 14 countries world wide. Well, SO DO I!! but this is not about online poker in and of itself, but offshore sites engaging in alleged money laundering and fraud, in order to CIRCUMVENT THE UIEGA, tricking banks to process these payments, when The UIEGA clearly states it is illegal for them to do so, WILLINGLY, KNOWLINGLY!

In my opinion, the only chance FTP and PS has to beat this case, is for their attorneys to argue that the UIEGA in and of itself is unconstitutional. The Federal Reserve is supposed to be the oversite with jurisdiction. How can a privately held institution like The Fed have this kind of authority? Also, it appears to be a violation of “equal protection under the law” Article 9, I beleive. Why were some Sports betting and horse racing sites in The USA and abroad allowed to have their payment processors process these bets, wheras online Poker sites were not? Having said all of this, it is likely you will not see your money ever again. It will be seized by The USA GOV, just like they seize alleged Drug dealers money and possesions. I also beleive The USA will claim that the very servers themselves the sites use to run the games, were built and maintained from “illegal and illicit gains”, therefore they will seize those servers with the aid of foreign countries where the servers reside, and effective shut down FTP and PS indefinetly world wide. I have more to say in the coming days over this issue so stay tuned!

Scott

The Lakers and Kobe are arrogant

The Lakers and Kobe are arrogant

Just when it looked like The LA Lakers were set to crush to the one seed out west, and just after an impressive come from behind win against The Utah Jazz at Utah, The Lakers have now dropped 3 straight games. as a life long Laker fan, and knowing this team inside and out, it appears the win at Utah gave The Lakers a sense of “arrogance” as if ” we can come behind from any decifit in any game, and win. During their 3 game losing streak, The Lakers went back to lazy and selfish Basketball, namely Kobe Byrant, holding the ball on offense, allowing defenses to set up in the proper positions, and allowing easy help rotations. Meanwhile, Andrew Bynum continues to post a high field goal percentage during the 3 games, but has not been nearly enough post entries to be an effect scorer. This really bothers me about Kobe and The Lakers. Kobe’s shooting percentage during these 3 games is horrid, as he just continues to insist to put up low percentage shots, hold the ball, dribble into double teams, and try to take over too many games late. The Lakers started off their last loss against The Utah Jazz at home, with good ball movement, post isolation dump offs, and effective pick posting. Bynum gets the ball, Gasol gets the ball, and they ” go to work”… This is what gives The Lakers an advantage over the rest of the NBA.

NCAA Basketball National Championship Game review and prediction

NCAA Basketball National Championship Game review and prediction

We are down to 2 teams, one game, with The National Championship to be won tonight by one of these teams. Who would have thought that Butler would be back to the final game after their improbable run last year, the run this year is even more impressive, after losing Senior Guard -Forward Gordon Hayward , an NBA Lottery pick in 2010?
